My stories are dark. This is probably related to the fact that most of my stories are heavily influenced by the dystopian genre, but it’s deeper than that: I write stories with mature, dark elements and themes.
Nobody goes on a journey and arrives at their destination completely unscathed. Real people have pasts that are riddled with mistakes and wounds and baggage that they don’t want anybody to see. So, my characters are flawed and complicated because that is what makes them real; my characters come from dark places that gave them scars.
My stories are about people who fight because they don’t know how else to truly live.
But even amidst the darkness, there is light. The darkness in my stories is placed there with intention and purpose. I utilize the darkness so that the light can mean something. My characters ache and bleed because that is how they will discover truth. I don’t allow my characters to grieve purely for shock value: I let them grieve so that you may know why they must fight so hard to reach the light.
I write dark stories because sometimes it is the darkest stories that truly change people—that make people think and show why stories matter.
I write dark stories because it is during the darkest of nights that the stars shine the brightest.
Poetry
We All Carry Ghosts
“I think we all write letters to the dead.”
This poetry and short prose collection is for the lost girls: the girls who want to know that someone understands; who wonder what it would be like to go back to Neverland, if only for a moment; who don’t know how to let go of the childhood that has died.
In The Moonlight
“We are all lonely planets.”
This poetry collection is for the midnight girls: the girls who sit by the moon and wonder if they have value; who dream of belonging to a home where judgement and shame do not exist; who hide their hearts and yet fall in love so easily.
Castles in the Sky
“Not even shadow girls stay shadows forever . . .”
This poetry and short prose collection is for the shadow girls: the girls who feel like a husk of their former selves; who dream of better days and brighter skies; who wonder if their shadows will ever truly fade with time.

This looks so amazing, so organized! Those aesthetics are gorgeous, and the songs have really interesting names. I’m impressed you can do so many WIPs at the same time, I can literally only do one, MAYBE two…not really though, LOL. Happy writing!!

Ack, I’m so glad you like the organization. I tried really hard to make everything look really pretty😍🤩
I’m not actually writing all of them at the same time, I switch back and forth, but these are the most solidified story ideas that I have at the moment, so I figured they belonged on here. 💖
